ohhh...what to say about this one....hmmm. painted with acrylic and guache and watercolour on a peice of wood, im not sure what type but it splinters easy.
i wish i knew how to scan large size images on my tiny little scanner...ill reasearch someday maybe! the real size of this is maybe 5x18 inches.
Aww cool, I love the texture of the wood! The perspective on the back foot is maybe a bit much, but I kinda dig the stick-leg anyway. The shading on her nearside leg bothers me too, too much depth in the wrong places. Funny, until you said how big it is I imagined it much bigger, like door sized. Huge! Pow! But small is good too. I really like this, very good!
The grain of the wood really shows throughout this piece in the background. Though it doesn't seem to compliment her all that well, there's a nice simplcity to it at the same time. She herself looks pretty nice. The same cartoonish-anime-akayour style is there and the rosy touches throughout her skin look good as usual. Nice coloring and pose it's sort of shows like someone just peeked in on her on accident without her permission. So yeah, it's pretty cool all around.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
