heh heh :D

the idea came for this came to me in tuesday lecture, and it was pretty spontaneous how i just started to work on this since tues till now. And for ONCE i actually like this one, and i cant spot too many problems with it EXCEPT maybe: the sky and clouds, the farmers in the background, parts of the grass, the kids foot, the shadow on the ground etc...
overall this was a pretty fun thing to work on and is a refreshing break from the usual gloomy cloudy city scapes i always do.

I drew the kid seperatly on a sketchbook sheet of paper but the book wasnt big enough for me to draw in his left arm so i had to cut him out like a paper doll and tape a left arm on him. After i overlayed him ontop of a peice of paper and drew the background perspective according to his angle. also i had to cut off and re-position his foot cause in the origonal, it looked like he was running with a broken ankle or something.

Why is he running away? i dunno....although if you can come up with a cool explaination i'd love to hear it! :)

the reason i came up with today is that he's dating the farmers daughter or something like that.

Haha, I tought the same thing when I first saw this pick. He's running for his life after being caught with the farmers daughter. Though it would have been fiiting more ot that if her were trying to get dressed as he ran and all that. Buit seeing as you don't have any particular idea in mind it's good anyway. The only thing that catches me off guard is how the foot in the front looks attached to his leg. they both seem to be going differnt ways. His leg looks like it's going straight down but his shoe looks like it's coming toward you. I don't know though, I always seem to over analyze your work cause is't so damn good.

This looks really nice, but the colour scheme of the background looks a craplot like kaizoku-fansubs' main page. Maybe it's the white circle clouds.

it could be that he stole something.. like some of there food and then the farmers spotted him and started freaking out >>;; rofl i dont know ^^
i like the field, quite fun ^^;.. reminds me of some spots over where i live >_>;; and i realized he has a band aid right where i have a band aid o_o except my band aid is bahluu.
i like this piece, it sounds like something you'd fun doing.

:hug: guess what ^_^ i finally put my mind to work and did some updateing of my DA account.. i mean i need more of course.. but i think i am somewhat inspired to start drawing a lot more.. i was looking through some of my old old stuff in my gallery.. because most of its from last year.. and i realized i improved a lot.. so it kind of inspired me. *dances*

What you said is true, you DO usally draw stuff with a darker atmosphere, so thats y I find this one funnier than the others, not becuase this kid is running away from those crazy farmers, but because..... well he is running away from an angry farmer, so I'll name this kid Steeve, donno y, lol Steeve.
